Program Read depends on volunteers to serve as tutors, classroom helpers, and on the Board of Directors. In return, volunteers get training and experience, meet other interesting people, and perform a valuable service to their community.

Our volunteer tutors are men and women of all ages, from many different backgrounds. What they have in common is an interest in helping others improve their reading, writing, math or computer skills. Program Read asks volunteers to commit to working with a student at least once a week.

Potential volunteers are asked to fill out an application. Please make an appointment to apply at our site, or use the online application form.
